I built these triggers myself to fit on the live drum kit for the show. They go to a “brain” that sends midi data to a bank of EXS samplers in Logic so every track we play I can blend in the drum sounds from the record with the live drums!
Originally we bought the ddrum pro triggers for $200 bones. But they really sucked, and two of them - the kick and snare!!! - didn’t ever work at all. These are way better in eliminating crosstalk and retriggering, and have a much better velocity sensitivity - and they cost about $4 each.
* notice the notch I filed for the drum rim to fit - that was crucial! They stay super snug!
