I’ve been asked by a few people about the triggers I built, so I thought I’d put together a few more details. They are super simple and cheap to build, and work a lot better than any store bought ones! Remember these can be connected to any drum brain, via 1/4 inch, or xlr, whatever sort of thing you prefer. Also, when using any trigger I found that tuning the drums so they don’t resonate with each other goes a long way to prevent crosstalk - and if you put a moon gel or some other dampening somewhat near the trigger it can really cut down on retriggering as well.
